(5:36 pm eastern) Update:
I'm told the bubble machine will be back in #Dodgers dugout tonight.

(original post) At this point, it may only be rumor, but several sources on social media are reporting that Bud Selig, Commissioner of Baseball and Decommissioner of Fun, has pulled the plug on the Dodgers blue bubble machine. One MLB tweet referencing the bubble machine that once had an animated gif, now just has a broken image link. Coincidence?
The @Dodgers have been putting their bubble machine to good use lately. http://t.co/l6gWUOwc41 pic.twitter.com/db0TA5lKyp

While I have yet to see anything resembling an official report, I felt this would be an appropriate time to remember the bubble machine and its role in bringing the team from 9.5 games behind the Giants to 2.5 games ahead of them.
A bubble machine retrospective from your posts…

While the Dodgers might not be able to bring the bubbles to us, maybe we can bring the bubbles to them?

What do you think about the death of the bubble machine at the hands of a lame duck commisioner?
